Blog # 2: Working titles

People say that coming up with titles is hard. As you can see from my "books" page, I'm struggling. I used to pop out novel titles like Twsift pops out hits.... But I'm starting to realize something.Start with a title, proceed to write the story? Bad results follow! Start with a story, proceed to think of a title? You might struggle with the title, but at least you'll have a solid story, and maybe you can find someone else to come up with the title!I'm basing this theory on extremely anecdotal evidence. I've had this wonderful title for a murder mystery for about 10 years now, and I've been trying to write the story to go with it ever since -- unsuccessfully.Meanwhile, I've finished the first draft of my "Devil's Wall" story (a working title I only use for convenience's sake) and am excited about the second draft, and I still can't come up with a title.Once it's in readable condition (fingers crossed), I'm hoping someone else will name it for me!!
